The Misconceptions of Nutrition and Training One of the biggest misconceptions in the fitness industry is that carbohydrate-rich diets and cardio exercises are the key to losing weight and getting fit. However, I learned that these methods actually hinder progress rather than help it. By consuming large amounts of carbohydrates, our bodies produce high levels of insulin, which leads to blood sugar management issues and fat storage.
