Securitized Citizens: Canadian Muslims' Experiences of Race Relations and Identity Formation Post-9/11 In the aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001, the world has undergone a significant shift in its understanding of global politics, international relations, and the nature of human existence. The "War on Terror" launched by the United States government has had far-reaching consequences, not only in terms of military interventions and geopolitical tensions but also in terms of the way people perceive and experience their identities and sense of belonging. For young Canadian Muslims, the post-9/11 era has been particularly challenging, as dominant groups and institutions have sought to impose certain ideas of citizenship and national belonging upon them. In her book, Securitized Citizens: Canadian Muslims' Experiences of Race Relations and Identity Formation Post-9/11, Baljit Nagra offers a critical analysis of these experiences, exploring how young Muslim adults in Vancouver and Toronto have navigated issues of exclusion and reconsidered their cultural and religious identity. Nagra conducted fifty in-depth interviews with well-educated second-generation and young Canadian Muslims, providing a rich and lively window into their experiences and feelings.

Securitized Citizens: Canadian Musluss'Experiences of Race Relations and Identity Formation Post-9/11 Seit den Ereignissen des 11.

Securitized Citizens: Canadian Muslims 'Experiences of Race Relations and Identity Formation Post-9/11 11 Eylül 2001 olaylarından bu yana dünya, küresel siyaset, uluslararası ilişkiler ve insan varlığının doğası konusundaki anlayışında önemli değişiklikler geçirdi.
