Land Grab: Green Neoliberalism, Gender, and Garifuna Resistance in Honduras In the north coast of Honduras, there is a small community of people known as the Garifuna, who were exiled from their homeland in St. Vincent in 1797 due to their African and Amerindian descent. Despite facing racial and cultural marginalization, they have managed to maintain their unique identity and way of life. However, in recent years, their existence has become threatened due to the paradoxical effects of neoliberal development policies, which prioritize foreign research tourists' projects that restrict Garifuna from their traditional livelihoods.
Land Grab: Green Neoliberalism, Gender, and Garifuna Resistance in Honduras

Pomimo zmagań z marginalizacją rasową i kulturową udało im się zachować unikalną tożsamość i styl życia. : Green Neoliberalism, Gender, and Garifuna Resistance
Land Grab: Green Neoliberalism, Gender, and Garifuna Resistance in Honduras Honduras'ın kuzey kıyısında, Afrika ve Amerika kökenli olmaları nedeniyle 1797'de St. Vincent'taki anavatanlarından kovulan Garifuna olarak bilinen küçük bir insan topluluğu var. Irksal ve kültürel marjinalleşmeyle karşı karşıya kalmalarına rağmen, benzersiz kimliklerini ve yaşam tarzlarını korumayı başardılar. Bununla birlikte, son yıllarda, varlıkları, garifunayı geleneksel geçim kaynaklarından sınırlayan yabancı araştırma turist projelerine öncelik veren neoliberal kalkınma politikalarının paradoksal etkileri tarafından tehdit edilmiştir.
