Argentine Perspectives on the Falklands War: A Study in the Evolution of Technology and Human Survival The Falklands War, also known as the Malvinas War, was a brief but intense conflict between Argentina and the United Kingdom over the disputed Falkland Islands in 1982. The war lasted only two months, but it had far-reaching consequences for both countries and the world at large. In this book, we will explore the Argentine perspectives on the war and how it has evolved over time, highlighting the importance of understanding the role of technology in shaping our perceptions of the conflict. Introduction The Falklands War was a defining moment in the history of Argentina and the United Kingdom, and it continues to be a subject of interest for scholars and historians today. The war began on April 2, 1982, when Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands, which it had long claimed as its own, but which were under British control. The invasion was met with swift resistance from the UK, leading to a full-scale military conflict that lasted until July 20, 1982. The war resulted in the deaths of 649 Argentine and 2555 British military personnel, as well as the sinking of several naval vessels and the destruction of aircraft and other military equipment.
