John McGahern and Modernism Continuum Literary Studies: A Study of the Evolution of Technology and the Need for Personal Paradigms Introduction The evolution of technology has been a driving force in shaping the world we live in today. From the industrial revolution to the digital age, technology has transformed the way we live, work, and communicate. However, with every advancement, there is a risk of losing touch with our humanity and the importance of personal paradigms in understanding the technological process of developing modern knowledge. In John McGahern's work, we see a concern with the "making it old" rather than new, suggesting a diffidence towards modernism. Nevertheless, his statements about the "presence" of words and the hard-won impersonality of art point to a covert engagement with modernist aesthetics. This study aims to explore the intertextual interpretations of McGahern's six novels and thematically grouped short stories, drawing out the ways in which his fiction conceals and reveals its modernist traces.
John McGahern and Modernism Continuum Literary Studies: A Study of the Evolution of Technology and the Need for Personal Paradigms Introduction

John McGahern and Modernism Continuum Literary Studies: A Study of the Evolution of Technology and the Need for Personal Paradigms Giriş Teknolojinin evrimi, bugün içinde yaşadığımız dünyayı şekillendirmede itici bir güç haline gelmiştir. John McGahern'in çalışmalarında, modernizmin belirsizliğini dile getiren yeni yerine'eski yapma'ile meşgul olduğunu görüyoruz.
John McGahern and Modernism Continuuum Literary Studies: A Study of the Evolution of Technology and the Need for Personal Paradigms Introduction
