The Bread Exchange Tales and Recipes from a Journey of Baking and Bartering As I sit here, typing away on my computer, surrounded by the hum of technology and the glow of screens, I can't help but feel a sense of disconnect between the world we live in and the world we used to know. The pace of life has sped up, the noise of progress drowns out the whispers of our ancestors, and yet, deep down, we yearn for something more meaningful. We crave connection, community, and a sense of purpose that only comes from sharing and giving. This is the story of how I found my own meaning in life, through the simple act of baking bread and exchanging it with others. My name is Malin Elmlid, and I am a fashion industry professional turned bread-baker. My obsession with handmade bread started as a way to cope with the stress of my high-pressure job, but it quickly evolved into something much more. It became a way of life, a way of connecting with others, and a way of finding meaning in a world that often feels devoid of it.
