US Foreign Policy and the Gulf Wars: Decision-Making and International Relations Library of International Relations The USled coalition's invasion of Iraq on March 20, 2003, marked the beginning of a decade-long military presence in the country. In contrast to the 1991 Gulf War, many comparisons were made between the two instances of military intervention by Republican US governments. Ahmed Ijaz Malik takes these examples to highlight how leaders' and decision-makers' official discourse affects foreign policy outcomes. This book critically analyzes the post-Cold War liberal cosmopolitan and realist discourses related to these two instances of US military intervention using an approach labeled 'critical realism. ' It assesses the themes of 'Just War' humanitarianism and cosmopolitanism while engaging with various arguments on the emerging role of the US as displayed in academic discourses and other intellectual contributions around each of the 1991 and 2003 wars.
US Foreign Policy and the Gulf Wars: Decision-Making and International Relations Library of International Relations
US Foreign Policy and the Gulf Wars: Decision-Making and International Relations Library of International Relations Die Invasion der US-geführten Koalition im Irak am 20.

US Foreign Policy and the Gulf Wars: Decision-making and International Relations Library of International Relations ABD öncülüğündeki koalisyonun 20 Mart 2003'te Irak'ı işgal etmesi, ülkede on yıllık bir askeri varlığın başlangıcı oldu.
